Málaga has 16 km of city coastline and another 100 km of provincial beach. These are the ones we send guests to.
In the city — La Malagueta (closest, lively), La Caleta (residential, calmer), Pedregalejo (chiringuitos), El Palo (fishing-village feel).
West of the city — Guadalmar (long and quiet, near the airport), Cabopino (dunes and pine forest, 35 min by car).
East of the city — Maro & Nerja's Playa de Burriana for snorkeling; the cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo are a protected natural area.
Tips. Beach season is April–October. Sun loungers €5/day. Avoid August weekends if you want space.
